How They Work

As our journey begins, we will be selling product by pre-order only. Our hope is to grow and offer more options in the future. Here's the rundown before your first order, so nothing feels like a mystery.

A quick heads up: pickup is on our porch, which has four steps up (three to the landing, one more through the door). If steps are tricky for you, just let us know by leaving a message with your Hotplate order, we're happy to arrange an alternative pickup so everyone has access to products.

1. Watch for the drop.

We release limited batches on a rolling schedule, never a huge surprise, we promise. Upcoming pre-order windows will be announced on social media, via email, and even text alerts directly from HotPlate, so you'll know exactly when to set an alarm.

2. Order through HotPlate.

All orders are placed and paid for through HotPlate. Here is the link: HotPlate Storefront. Once a drop opens, grab your spot before it sells out, small batch really does mean small batch.

3. Get your confirmation.

You'll receive an email confirming your order along with the pickup window. Save it, that's your golden ticket.

4. Pickup is porch side.

Pickup happens right at my front porch. Look for a sign letting you know the microbakery is open, that's your cue. Just a friendly heads up: there's a door between the porch and the actual house, so no need to knock before entering the porch.

5. Grab your bag.

Your order will be bagged, labeled with your first initial and last name, and waiting for you on the porch during your pickup window. Find your name, grab your goods, and you're on your way with sourdough in hand.

That's it, no lines, no chaos, just really good bread waiting for you on a porch.
